In 2014, Sch眉tz Container came to the 探花精选 for a 10,000-square-foot building expansion to its Perrysburg, Ohio,聽facility. The new space was needed for additional blow-mold injection machinery used to make intermediate bulk containers聽(IBC). The Sch眉tz manufacturing facility makes 255-gallon聽containers used for bulk storage of liquids.

After reviewing the fast-track schedule needed for the addition – the project would be awarded in November and had to be聽complete in early February – it was determined that RLG’s Guided Process Solutions (GPS)聽was the best way to ensure the聽project could be finished on time for the plant鈥檚 capacity surge. This timing presented a major challenge in that the job site聽required enclosure prior to January when challenging winter weather conditions could slow construction.

RLG team members led the聽mechanical, machinery installation, and structural steel services which included metal siding and roofing.聽The聽electrical work involved relocating the existing transformer to make room for the building addition, and installation of new聽transformers to support it. 聽Civil/site, concrete and masonry services were also self-performed by RLG.

After the new addition was complete, RLG built a 25,000-square-foot mezzanine structure – tying the old facility space to the聽new – while existing equipment remained in operation below it. Sch眉tz experienced no downtime to its ongoing operations during聽the three-month interior and exterior construction projects.
